The harbour area, where the Bar Marina is situated, is known as the “Venice of the Canaries”. It is a pedestrianised low-rise development with roof terraces bursting with colourful plants, and gardens with hibiscus hedges, banana trees, palms and bird-of-paradise plants.

Puerto de Mogan has loats of restaurants, supermarkets, shops and much more. On Fridays there is a large market where you can buy almost anything.

The sandy beach, protected by a breakwater which makes it ideal for safe swimming faces south. Those who want more excitement than swimming and sunbathing can hire jet ski’s, go parascending, take a scuba diving course, go deep sea fishing or take a submarine trip round a local wreck.

Puerto Mogán is well served by buses to other resorts on the island but why not take a trip on the ferry to Puerto Rico or Arguineguín – the view of the coast is spectacular. It is about 55 kilometers from Gran Canaria airport: https://www.gran-canaria-airport.com
